"Can Essential Oils Help Alleviate PMS Symptoms?"

OUCH!!!!

And anyone with a hormone or two knows that this is almost impossible.

I’m a bit in two minds about this – sometimes your normal cyclic moods help you:

Your vulnerability and uncertainty elicit help, your irritation gets things done when you snap, your depression lets you take some time out...

But as you can see and know all too well, this can cause havoc when you inflict unmeant pain on others.

Unfortunately, it is almost always ‘those nearest and dearest’ to us that bear the brunt of our PMS troubles.

The anger outbursts, tearful episodes, lethargic depression bouts, and that irritated tone of voice that everyone in the house start to fear, also become an embarrassment to you if they are out of control and you have to keep apologizing.

Different scenarios

Perhaps you work in an all-male environment and know how quickly men don’t take you seriously if you are constantly in some or the other ‘mood’.

Perhaps you teach high school students and need to stay level-headed at all costs to avoid sniggering.

Perhaps you have young children at whom you snap unnecessarily...

Perhaps your husband constantly runs off to fishing...

These are all real-life examples, and we sometimes try to shrug these off with the approach that those around you should learn to cope with you as a woman.

21st century

We are however in the 21st century, and modern - we want to do better than that.

We want to come across as level-headed women in control of ourselves, who can extend grace to others under difficult circumstances.

Finding help and balance

Fortunately, for finding a balance between some normal emotions and losing control, and we can do much with essential oils.

It seems as if nature has a particularly large treasure cove to assist women. Just look at the list below!

The most valuable essential oils for hormone balancing in pre-menopause:

Sweet basil

Jasmine

Rose geranium

Clary sage

Roman chamomile

Bergamot

Nutmeg

Peppermint

Sweet marjoram

Black pepper

It’s a bit overwhelming, so let’s break this down.
